The single most potent negative business trend of the last several years has been the systematic dehumanization of business processes and the steady push towards transactional sales over relationship-based partnerships.
It’s really interesting to me that you are seeing a trend for businesses to become more and more dehumanized, especially in the wake of social media. It would seem that businesses, in general, would recognize the importance of staying (or becoming) relational, as I’m pretty sure customers can spot a false or “put on” interaction from a mile away (whether it’s B2C or B2B). It’s no wonder to me that if you’re witnessing this dehumanization act day-in and day-out that you need to re-focus and recharge. I wish you the best of luck!
