An Interview with Nicole Snow, CEO Darn Good Yarn

Nicole Snow is the CEO of Inc. Magazine 5000 company, Darn Good Yarn (see how Inc. profiled them here.)

Darn Good Yarn is a leader in the movement among great companies that believe they can do well by doing good.  The company employs 600 Artisans around the globe, recovers over a million lbs. of waste materials, and promotes independent artists from around the world. Oh... and they sell a LOT of yarn.

Not only that, they employ a dynamic team for this global business from near Albany, NY. As Nicole puts it:

"Darn Good Yarn started from two boxes of recycled silk yarn that I stored in a corner of our spare bedroom. I soon learned that the people who make this yarn needed a better way to make a better living. They needed sustainability and safety in their day-to-day jobs. Falling back on my college education and experience in the Air Force, I realized that I could potentially bridge that gap and provide them with the opportunity for a better life."

Nicole is also a recent alumnus of Value Prop's Revenue Throughput Program - which was introduced to her through our partnership with Albany-based Center for Economic Growth. This interview captures how the Program has helped Nicole drive growth for her manufacturing, distribution, and e-commerce business.
